Following on from the transverters that I have built for VHF I thought that an HF transverter would be fun and something that it was not possible for me to use until the recent changes in the UK licensing conditions allowed code free HF operations. Transverting from UHF to HF using a commercial UHF transceiver gives a full 10MHz of HF coverage with no change to the local oscillator frequency of the transverter. Band pass and low pass filter switching will be required but at the moment I've not got that far and am content with operation on 14MHz only although at the time of writing conditions are not good for QRP.
